 About the Practice

Availability

Memphis Psychiatric provides outpatient, clinical services for adults and their families. These services include patient evaluation and diagnosis, medication assessment and management, individual and family psychotherapy, and referrals for psychological testing.

During the evaluation, Dr. White reviews the issues and difficulties you are experiencing and starts to develop your comprehensive treatment plan. The plan may include referrals to practitioners of different types of treatment such as individual, group, or family therapy. Any further recommended therapy sessions will last approximately one hour. Medication follow-up visits typically last 30 minutes to one hour.

Fees and Insurance

Comprehensive care requires a highly personalized approach for the individual patient; for this reason, Dr. White does not follow treatment guidelines outlined by insurance companies. He believes that these guidelines can jeopardize the quality of care that patients and their families deserve and receive. Memphis Psychiatric does not contract with any managed care or health insurance network. A detailed explanation of fees can be discussed by contacting the office.

Payment for services provided is due at the time of your appointment. Memphis Psychiatric accepts all major credit cards, cash, or check. If you would like a receipt for tax purposes or for reimbursement from your insurance company, please let the office know at the time of service.

Services are by appointment only. Appointment times are scheduled specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to attend a scheduled appointment or cancelling an appointment with less than 24 hour notice may result in your being billed for the full appointment fee.
